Information

The small, almost 800-year-old town in the Osterzgebirge mountains lies at an altitude of 650 m. Its landmark is the castle ruin, which is visible from far away. It was built around 1200 and secured the border between the Mark Meissen and the Kingdom of Bohemia. The map sheet shows the valleys of the Wild Weißeritz, Bobritzsch and Gimmlitz as well as the Freiberger Mulde.
The reservoirs Klingenberg, Lehnmühle and Lichtenberg are shown. The back of the hiking map contains information about the landscape, history and settlement of Frauenstein.

Info's Hiking map with bridle paths contains UTM coordinate grids and is therefore GPS-compatible.
