The third volume of the Vogtland-Wanderführer - Oberes Vogtland, describes 12 walks. The main focus is the border triangle of the Czech Republic, Saxony and Bavaria. Hiking and excursion destinations are the valley of the White Elster, the spas of Bad Brambach and Bad Elster with their beautiful parks as well as the music town of Markneukirchen, the open-air museum in Landwüst and Eubabrunn and the monument village of Raun. One of the most famous holiday destinations in winter and summer is the town of Schöneck. Other attractive places are Adorf, Podhradí (Neuberg), Schönberg, Raun and Erlbach.
Important elevations are Kapellenberg, Markneukirchner or Oberer Berg, the Wirtsberg as well as Háj (Hainberg) and Vysoký kámen (Hoher Stein) in Bohemia.
